Here’s what London looked like from the sky 130 years ago
In an age of metal, glass and skyscrapers, London's skyline is now one of the most recognisable and iconic in the world. But over 130 years ago, it looked rather different.
Images have emerged of London from over 130 years ago, taken between 1882 and 1892 by Cecil Victor Shadbolt, who flew over the city in a hot air balloon for 10 years to get the perfect photographs.

The 27 black and white images show London at a different age.
The images are due to be auctioned at Dominic Winter Auctioneers in Gloucestershire, at an expected price of £10,000, on 15 October.
