Helios raises $900m Africa fund
Private equity house Helios Investment Partners has raised $900m (£550m) to invest in Africa, the largest ever vehicle of its kind raised for investments in the continent. The fund, which will invest between $25m and $250m of equity per deal, will focus on technology, media and telecommunications, energy utilities, distribution and financial services. It is Helios’ second fund to focus on Africa, closing at a time when the prospect for investors in the country is gradually taking off.
