HAGUE REVEALS AUDIT OF BRUSSELS’ POWERS
FOREIGN secretary William Hague announced yesterday that the government will run a “comprehensive audit” examining the impact of EU laws on the UK. The audit is set for completion in 2014, yet Labour argued in parliament that a quicker examination was needed, given the evolving relationship among EU states within and outside of the Eurozone. Hague denied the audit could prompt the UK to leave the EU.
