Grenada
BEST BEACH
Grand Anse Beach and Morne Rouge Bay are a pretty close tie, both are white sanded with lots of space and few crowds. Grand Anse allows visitors to walk its full length and take exercise, while dipping in and out of the gentle waves. Morne Rouge’s trees and stunning sunsets make it the perfect place both for a day on the beach or a cocktai after dark.
BEST ART AND CULTURE
Grenada’s culture revolves around its food and its small boat festivals. Experience cuisine that is infused with nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and other locally grown spices, either at a local, traditional bar or at one of the international hotels. Visit Grenada during the Workboat Regatta at the beginning of February for a truly memorable experience and get to know the locals and understand how this island state makes the most of the sea and the wonderful fresh fish within it.
BEST AREA FOR NIGHTLIFE
Grenada’s nightlife revolves around the small beach-side bars and restaurants, servicing local Carib beers and a whole range of Rum punches.
Grenada boasts three main nightclubs – Fantasia 2001, Bananas and Karma – all of which are within easy distance of the hotels.
BEST ACTIVITIES/SPORTS
Grenada, only the size of the Isle of Wight is lucky enough to have four hotels with good spa offerings; LaSource, Spice Island, La Luna and Calabash Hotel. Each with a very different approach.
