Grant sent to the stands
WEST HAM boss Avram Grant will have to watch two matches of his side’s battle against relegation from the stands after being handed a touchline ban.
The Football Association yesterday suspended Grant for the games against Bolton and Aston Villa after finding him guilty of improper conduct. The charge related to his criticism of referee Mike Jones following last month’s FA Cup defeat at Stoke.
The punishment came as Hammers chiefs confirmed they are probing allegations of racist abuse from supporters towards the families of players Victor Obinna and Frederic Piquionne at the weekend.
