The London-headquartered firm said most of the hires will be based in its tech team, with new positions created in data science, analytics and software engineering.
The new roles will be split between London and the company’s fulfilment centre in Spalding, Lincolnshire.
Gousto, which delivers ingredients and recipes to subscribers, has boasts a fully automated production line and has positioned itself as a tech-enabled company.
The announcement follows a recent £30m funding round, which took the total funds raised by Gousto to more than £100m.
Gousto was founded in 2012 and is one of a growing number of firms – including Hello Fresh and Mindful Chef – that have cashed in on a burgeoning home cooking market.
“The 700 jobs we will create over the next three years will enable us to keep pace with rapidly changing consumer behaviours,” said Gousto founder and chief executive Timo Boldt.
