Google’s Nexus One smartphone delayed
Google has been forced to delay the arrival of its Nexus One mobile phone until next month.
The device the internet giant hopes will be an iPhone killer will be the firm’s first own-branded phone to hit the UK.
Its Android software has already been incorporated into a number of other smartphones but the Nexus One is the first real shot across Apple’s bows.
The launch in the US was beset with problems, many of which stemmed from the firm’s decision to sell the Nexus One through its website, therefore making customer support difficult.
Last week Goldman Sachs dropped its forecasts for worldwide sales of the Nexus One this year from 3.5m units to 1m.
