Google’s Matt Brittin says nobody can afford to ignore the rise of digital
Nobody can afford to put their head in the sand when it comes to the rise of digital, one of Google's key executives has said today.
Speaking at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) annual conference, Matt Brittin, president of EMEA business & operations for Google UK, said: "This is about every business. Every business is a digital business because every consumer is a digital consumer".

Brittin added that technology was becoming more and more global and, therefore, when Google develops products going forward, "it needs to be working as well for the poorest person as it does for the President of the United States".
The tech giant recently confirmed it would go ahead with plans for its new headquarters in London. Google also pledged to eventually provide everybody in the UK with free digital skills training, starting with offering five hours of free training in 100 locations across the country or online from next year.
