Goal king back to stoke Palace
FORMER England striker Andrew Johnson aims to help establish Crystal Palace as a Premier League force after returning to Selhurst Park for a second stint yesterday.
The 33-year-old, who scored 85 goals in 160 games for the Eagles between 2002 and 2006, has signed a short-term deal which will tie him to the club until January.
Johnson was released by QPR over the summer but has been included in Palace’s 25-man Premier League squad and will also undertake coaching duties.
“I am delighted to be coming back to a club that I love and have a real soft spot for,” said Johnson.
“I am looking forward to helping Crystal Palace have continued success in the Premier League.”
