The fur flies on Downing Street as two of politics’ top cats get their claws out
Two of UK politics' most senior moggies had to be forcibly separated this morning after reportedly engaging in a brutal fight in Downing Street.
A Downing Street photographer captured 10 Downing Street's Larry fighting with the Foreign Office's "chief mouser" Palmerston earlier today.

The fight reportedly saw Larry lose his collar before Palmerston returned to his Foreign Office patch, leaving the Downing Street cat limping.
Both cats were adopted from Battersea Dogs and Cats home; Larry in 2011 and Palmerston earlier this year.
Downing Street and Foreign Office officials have yet to respond to request for comment.
Newly arrived Treasury cat Gladstone has so far been able to avoid the battles, despite the animal's Instragram account already including a threat to "torment" Larry.
A spokeswoman for the Treasury confirmed that there are no plans to put in place any additional security for the cat.
"We don't think that will be necessary. He will be monitored by our security to make sure that he doesn't get out," they added.
