Fulham need penalties to Spare Cup blushes at league two Burton
DEFENDER John Arne Riise (pictured) scored the winning spot-kick as Fulham crept through to the Capital One Cup third round last night. The Premier League club were held to a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes against League Two minnows Burton Albion, with Jack Dyer cancelling out Adel Taarabt’s first-half strike late on. Fulham then fell behind in extra time when Michael Symes netted, but striker Hugo Rodallega levelled with three minutes remaining before Fulham finally edged the shoot-out 5-4.
