Franco Manca pizzas serve up profit rise for owner Fulham Shore
Sourdough pizza chain Franco Manca’s expansion drove a profit rise at owner group Fulham Shore last year.
Fulham Shore, which also owns The Real Greek and Bukowski Grill, reported operating profit of £3.2m and revenues of £29.5m for the 12 months to 27 March.
Seven new Franco Manca pizzerias opened in the period and a further five have opened since the year-end, including its first branches outside London in Guildford and Brighton.
The firm took over 99 per cent of the pizza provider’s share holdings in April last year. There are now 24 Franco Manco pizzerias, comprising the majority of Fulham Shore’s 34-restaurant total.

“Sites are available, our restaurants are busy and popular, our prices are good value and our staff are well motivated. We therefore look forward to the further expansion of our Franco Manca and The Real Greek businesses during the current year,” Fulham Shore chairman David Page said today in a statement.
Fulham Shore’s share price closed almost eight per cent up at 18.75p. The company launched on AIM in October 2014.
