Former Barclays chairman Agius takes top job at PA Consulting
BARCLAYS’ former chairman Marcus Agius is set to become non-executive chairman of PA consulting group in the new year, it was announced yesterday.
Jon Moynihan, current executive chairman, is retiring at the end of the year, while Agius will begin in January 2014. It has been over a year since Agius left Barclays under the cloud of the bank’s Libor-rigging fine.
Agius commented: “PA has a distinguished history: it also has a great future in prospect given the wealth of talent in its executive ranks. I much look forward to working with my new colleagues to develop PA’s forward trajectory.”
Esther Dyson, founder of the Health Initiative Co-ordinating Council, will also join the board of PA Consulting on 6 December, replacing other board members who are leaving.
Alan Middleton, CEO, said: “We look forward to welcoming Marcus and Esther and working with the board to build on the firm’s success.”
