Football Betting Tips: Back West Ham can earn sweet victory at home to Toffees
THEY say there’s no place like home and after a couple of transitional seasons West Ham have once again found theirs.
It’s safe to say the move from Upton Park to the London Stadium went less than smoothly but under the tutelage of Manuel Pellegrini, their new home has become a tough place for sides to visit.
The Hammers are nine points better off than 12 months ago and it’s thanks in large to their home form, having lost just three games on their own patch since October.
Manchester City, Tottenham and Watford are the only sides to come away with all three points since, while Manchester United and Arsenal suffered defeats, and Chelsea and Liverpool drew.
If truth be told, West Ham were rather unlucky not to beat Liverpool that day and they have since scored nine goals in three home wins against Fulham, Newcastle and Huddersfield.
Everton are the visitors to Stratford in Saturday’s late kick-off and they arrive buoyed by a recent home win against Chelsea, with Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson both netting in a 2-0 win.
A win against Chelsea is always a good result, but it showed a real sense of character from the players having lost 3-2 away at Newcastle prior to that, despite going two goals ahead.
Just two points separate West Ham and Everton in the battle for seventh, but the Toffees’ away form is a cause for concern here.
They have managed just four wins in 15 away games this season and three of them came against relegation- threatened sides in Cardiff, Huddersfield and Burnley.
It’s likely to be a tight affair, but the 6/4 on West Ham to win looks the most tempting.
