Flight SK1530 from London to Stockholm diverted to Gothenburg after bomb threat made to air traffic control
A Scandinavian Airlines flight from London to Stockholm was diverted to Gothenburg this morning after an apparent bomb threat.
Flight SK1530, which was travelling from London Heathrow, was diverted after a threat was made to air traffic controllers while the plane was mid-air, local media reports.
The flight was diverted from the Swedish capital and landed at Landvetter Airport at around 10am local. The local bomb squad reportedly searched the plane, which was parked "remotely".
“The 72 people on board the plane, including the crew, have been evacuated,” police spokesman Stefan Gustafsson told AFP.
“The bomb technicians have arrived and are preparing to search the plane.”
Passenger Tom Onslow-Cole tweeted the morning's events – including the fact that passengers were given meal vouchers with the reason simply put as "bomb".
