Enfield fire: 72 London firefighters are tackling a blaze on East Duck Lees Lane
Firefighters are tackling a huge industrial blaze that has broken out in a pallet yard in Enfield this morning.
In total there are 10 fire engines and 72 firefighters attempting to get the blaze under control. The incident is on East Duck Lees Lane in Enfield, north London.
Fire crews from Chingford, Woodford, Dagenham, Holloway, Enfield, Edmonton, Stoke Newington and Tottenham fire stations are at the scene.
Police have closed the road and locals have been advised to close doors and windows as there is a “lot of black smoke”.
A number of gas cylinders are involved in the fire. Fire crews are now trying to cool them down to avoid any explosions.
Images and a video posted by witnesses revealed the extent of the blaze, with smoke visible for several miles around. London Fire Brigade said it had received 26 calls to the incident.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, although London Fire Brigade said the blaze was in a pallet yard.
"A large part of the yard and nearby cars are alight," it added.
It is also not clear whether there are any casualties.
