Finchley Road fire latest: Lane restrictions still in place after huge blaze
The fire at a shop on Finchley Road was still causing disruption to local traffic more than three days after it first broke out.
The blaze, which was reported to London Fire Brigade on Monday morning just before 6:30am, had yet to be fully put out yesterday afternoon, with 10 firefighters on the scene attempting to dampen "pockets of fire".
At its peak there were more than 70 fire fighters on the scene.
The cause of the fire is still not known and an investigation has been launched while crew tackle the final remnants.
As a result lane restrictions are still in place on Finchley Road – the A41 – itself.

There is a contraflow between Goldhurst Terrace and Rosemont Road to allow a single lane past the incident in both directions.
Yesterday it emerged that local residents were calling for donations to be made to the 25 people caught up in the fire, including a pregnant woman and a two-year-old.
