Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) suffers major IT incident leaving several of its systems down
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) said today that it had been affected by a "major IT incident".
The watchdog said a number of systems were down because of the tech problems.
The FCA said it was working with suppliers to restore services and would publish more information as soon as it becomes available.
The regulator may be regretting past fines it has slapped on banks for their IT failures – in 2014 it handed RBS a £42m penalty for an IT system glitch in 2012.
