Female Tech stars make the finals of the 44th Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Awards
The finalists for the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Awards have been announced, and the City's female tech bosses are running the show.
Trainline chief Claire Gilmartin, Unruly co-founder Sarah Wood and British make-up artist and cosmetic firm founder Charlotte Tilbury make up the finalists for this year's awards, touted as the Oscars for women in business.
Taking place in May in the main ballroom at Claridge's, the awards are inspired by Madame Clicquot, who at the age of 27, took over the House of Veuve Clicquot after the death of her husband in 1805.
Female startup leaders are also up for a few gongs, as the shortlist has also been announced for the champagne maker's New Generation award. Gourmet popcorn producer Propercorn's chief Cassandra Stavou, LGBT dating app HER founder Robyn Exton and management consultancs Entrepreneur First's creator Alice Bentinck are in the finals for ths year's prize.
With a multinational high-end liquor company running the show, it looks to be a raucous evening.
