FATHER’S DAY SPA TREATMENTS
THESE days spas and pampering are not just for women. So what better time to treat your dad to a refreshing facial or a professional shave? This year, there is a wide choice for men. Spa at Chancery Court (www.spachancerycourt.com) on High Holborn is offering a range of Father’s Day-inspired treatments, available as gift vouchers. These include a De-stress and Recharge Experience (£180) that is specially tailored to men, and a Gin & Tonic treatment (£125) with a body scrub and massage featuring juniper berry oil and finished off with a G&T in the relaxation room.
Mayfair’s men’s grooming salon The Refinery (www.the-refinery.com), has a slew of Father’s Day packages to suit different paternal tastes, including the Dandy Daddy (hair cut, wet shave, massage and body treatments, £340) and the Eco Daddy (Indian head massage plus either acupuncture, reflexology or hot stone body treatment, £180). There’s also the Daddy & Dandy fathers and sons deal, in which you can choose three treatments each and get a 10 per cent discount, or get a pedicure each and get one half price.
Meanwhile, the Spa Intercontinental on Park Lane (www.london.intercontinental.com) has Father’s Day grooming vouchers available, with £180 buying two hours of treatments of the lucky daddy’s choice, plus a pair of Thomas Pink socks and an Elemis men’s gift pack thrown in.
For dads who need their whiskers trimmed and tonsure smartened, the Father’s Day package at St James’s Hotel & Club (www.stjameshotelandclub.com) includes a sumptuous overnight stay for £290, with a voucher included for ultra-smart men’s grooming venue Truefitt & Hill just around the corner.
Or you could send your old man to Hyde Park Corner and the intimate Spa Studio at the Lanesborough Hotel (www.lanesborough.com). The Pampering for Papa package (£100), available to the end of the month, includes a cellular detoxifying back treatment, and a luxurious head, scalp and shoulders massage.
For the dad about town, luxury experts Quintessentially Escape (www.quintessentiallyescape.com) have devised a nice package, costing a cool £1,000.
After a morning of pampering at Elemis Spa, with treatments including a seaweed wrap, deep tissue massage, deep cleanse facial and grooming for the hands and feet, head to Mayfair shoe shop Harry’s of London to have a bespoke pair of shoes made for those newly revitalised feet. Still worried about how to salute your old man on Father’s Day? Didn’t think so.
