Exclusive: Taylor Wessing launching British tech network to spur US funding
CITY law firm Taylor Wessing will tonight launch an invitation-only tech community aimed at linking the UK’s most promising high-growth firms with Taylor Wessing’s venture capital and private equity clients in the US and beyond.
Taylor Wessing will announce the community, known as Tech Focus 100, during its annual tech predictions event this evening where Nutmeg chief executive Nick Hungerford and Northzone partner and investor in MarketInvoice, Jeppe Zink, are speaking.
Mike Turner, Taylor Wessing’s international head of technology media and communications, describes Tech Focus 100 as an “opportunity for companies in the technology sector to network with each other, to collaborate and to meet investors who can help take their businesses to the next level.”
Touch Surgery, Audio Network and WorkAngel, which has already raised £3.3m via the network from investors including Sir Terry Leahy, are among the first firms to join.
