Eurozone trade surplus rises
The Eurozone achieved a €10.2bn goods trade surplus with the rest of the world in October, compared to €9.5bn the previous month, according to official statistics body Eurostat. Seasonally adjusted exports fell 1.4 per cent while imports rose 0.6 per cent. For the 27-member EU, its goods trade deficit narrowed slightly to €12.5bn. Meanwhile, hourly labour costs in the euro area rose two per cent in the year to the third quarter.
