Ecclestone to face German bribery charges
FORMULA One’s Bernie Ecclestone will stand trial on bribery charges in Munich in late April over the sale of a stake in his multi-billion dollar sport, a German court said yesterday. Ecclestone has denied wrongdoing and said he will fight to clear his name. He stepped down from his chief executive role but will remain on the board “subject to increased monitoring and control,” the board said.
