Dominic Cummings lashes out at ‘rich Remainers’ as he sticks to 31 October Brexit deadline
Boris Johnson’s chief adviser has vowed the UK will quit the EU on 31 October and lambasted media for speaking to “rich Remainers” in London.
Dominic Cummings said he was “sure” the UK would leave the bloc on the current Brexit deadline of Halloween.

Asked what his next strategic move to deliver Brexit would be, Cummings told Reuters: “You guys should get outside London and go to talk to people who are not rich Remainers.”
A law came into force yesterday requiring that Prime Minister Johnson request to delay Brexit if he cannot strike a deal in advance of the impending departure date.
However, Johnson today vowed never to ask for an extension from the EU even with a legal requirement he does so.
Johnson has previously said he would rather be “dead in a ditch” than ask the EU for a delay to the Brexit deadline.
The law gained Royal Assent yesterday and would delay Brexit until 2020 unless Johnson manages to close a deal before the deadline.
Foreign secretary Dominic Raab said the law could be challenges in court.
“We’re always going to behave lawfully as a government,” he told Sky News.
“What we are going to do with that legislation is test very carefully what it does and doesn’t require,” he added.
“That’s not only the lawful thing to do, I think it’s the responsible thing to do.”
Last night Johnson prorogued parliament for five weeks until 14 October.

That means MPs return just two weeks before the current Brexit deadline.
The suspension of parliament occurred shortly before 2am last night, during which fractious scenes erupted as MPs brandished placards reading “Silenced”.
