DO YOU THINK THE GREEK ELECTION RESULTS WILL HELP THE EUROZONE CRISIS?
TIM SHARMAN
CCE
I don’t think it’s going to have any major impact on the Eurozone in the short run. Greece needs to get its people on side before the government can start to get anything done. It is going to take a long time for them and other countries like Spain and Italy to get out of this crisis.

I think overall the election result is positive. A bit of stability can’t hurt, and for Greece as a society the whole social fabric has been torn apart over the last six months to a year, so to get something a bit more concrete in place instead of playing around in the dark can only be a good thing.

The relief is going to be relatively short-lived and even if the coalition is formed I don’t think it is going to have that much of an impact on the crisis. The focus will just shift to other countries like Spain and Italy, which are much larger economies and have much greater potential to de-rail things.
