Dining out: London’s best burger, sushi and fried chicken revealed in public vote
Hungry Londoners have spoken, and Meatliquor and Chick n Sours are among the restaurants who’s dishes have been crowned the tastiest in the city in a public vote.
The awards, announced today, are based on more than 50,000 reviews of London’s restaurants, and are given to dishes that have garnered the highest ratings.
Winners include Meatliquor’s Dead Hippie burger, Chick n Sours’ fried chicken and Club Mexicana’s To-Fish Taco, rated on food review app Eaten.
Eaten’s Golden Dishes awards are released after research showed Londoners who eat out are more interested in taste than any other factor, including looks for social media posting, as 96% say they would be prepared to shun good looks on a dish in favour of great flavours.
Eaten second co-founder Jeeho Park said the app made reviewing “all about the food. So, atmosphere, location, music, or any other factors are not important – users simply rate how delicious the dish was against others they’ve tried.”
Timothy Lui, co-founder, said the awards had come from “a real community of people who seriously love their food – so we know their choices will be top notch”.
