D’Arcy boost for Ireland
IRELAND expect centre Gordon D’Arcy to return for their celebration match against Scotland on Saturday.
The match will be Ireland’s last at Croke Park after spending four years at their temporary home, and could also bring a fifth Triple Crown in seven seasons.
D’Arcy was forced off during the first half of the victory over Wales with a knee injury, but coach Declan Kidney expects both he and David Wallace to start after the flanker suffered an accidental scratch to his eye against Wales at the weekend.
Should D’Arcy fail to recover then winger Keith Earls, who scored two tries from midfield on Saturday, may deputise.
