Connaught sees interims rise
Connaught, a support-services firm, posted a rise in first-half adjusted pre-tax profit due to growth across all parts of the business. For the six months ended 28 February, adjusted pre-tax profit was £20.7m, compared with £17.3m in the year-ago period. However, pre-tax profit fell 21 per cent to £10.7m for the firm which provides property services to owners and occupiers of buildings. Sales rose 17 per cent to £355m despite some impact from poor weather in January, the Devon-based business said.
