Compass looks to good half year growth
CATERING firm Compass Group yesterday forecast 2015 would be a good year for the company, after seeing strong growth in North America and emerging markets in the first half.
The firm anticipated 5.5 per cent overall organic revenue growth in the six months ending 31 March, as well as a 10 basis point rise in operating profit margin.
Thriving business in North America contributed to this positive prediction, with expectations of organic growth around eight per cent, spurred on by new business wins.
The group said it was set to deliver organic growth in emerging markets of 14 per cent, and said Europe should also return to weak growth of 0.5 per cent.
Despite predictions of low commodity prices impacting its offshore and remote business, the company remained optimistic about the year ahead, citing an encouraging lineup of new contracts in the pipeline.
