Coe welcomes BOA interest
LONDON 2012 chairman Lord Coe has confirmed his interest in replacing Lord Moynihan as head of the British Olympic Association.
Coe, 55, admitted he had been approached by the BOA, which is in the process of drawing up a list of possible successors to Moynihan, saying: “I am happy for my name to go forward.”
He has already been asked to advise Prime Minister David Cameron on maximising legacy benefits from the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which concluded on Sunday. Coe led London’s successful bid for the Games before leading the organising committee.
