The energy and organisation exceeded expectations and it was a shame that I missed out on tickets, especially considering the rows of empty seats during the weekend coverage.

I thought it was a decent and positive opening weekend having seen the men’s cycling road race. It seems like business as usual in the City, and the only reminder of the Olympics is the dedicated volunteers lining the stations.

Transport for London has been both robust and surprisingly comfortable to travel on today, and over the weekend. Having seen the Olympic Park, I can say authorities have done a stellar job of coordinating the event so far.
