City Moves – who’s switching jobs at Pemberton Asset Management, Wells Fargo Asset Management and Eight Roads Ventures
Today's City Moves cover asset management and venture funding. Take a look at these movers and shakers:
Pemberton Asset Management
Pemberton, the independent asset management group backed by Legal & General Group, has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Thomas Lack as chief operating officer. Thomas joins as a partner in the firm and brings more than 25 years of experience in operational management from leading UK and international financial services companies. Prior to joining Pemberton, Thomas was the chief operating officer of Brewin Dolphin. His previous roles also include head of operations at Coutts and head of operations at RBS. During his career, Lack has worked for the likes of Morgan Stanley and UBS. Thomas’s deep experience in both investment management and investment banking operations makes him the perfect candidate for this key senior role. As Pemberton looks to broaden and deepen its platform this year, his arrival will help the team develop the necessary scale and skillset to truly capture the opportunities the firm sees across Europe.
Wells Fargo Asset Management
Wells Fargo Asset Management has appointed Stephane Fievee as a portfolio manager in the organisation’s ECM Asset Management subsidiary, in the sub-investment-grade credit team. Stephane will support the portfolio management team on all high yield, loan and senior-secured portfolios. Co-portfolio managers Jens Vanbrabant and Henry Craik-White have joint responsibility for portfolio management and performance and, going forward, will be assisted in this task by Stephane. Most recently, he was an assistant portfolio manager and senior credit analyst at Alpstar Capital, where he focused on leveraged finance. Earlier, he served as founding member and senior investment analyst at Pearl Diver Capital, LLP, and as a senior associate in the structured credit products group at Wells Fargo Securities (formerly Wachovia Securities International).
Eight Roads Ventures
Global investment firm Eight Roads Ventures has appointed Kevin Kimber as a venture partner and member of its value-add team. Kevin will use his extensive software experience to advise the teams in Eight Roads’ portfolio on go to market and sales strategy. Kevin joins Eight Roads from SAP where he was managing director of the UK cloud business. Prior to SAP, Kevin led the Europe, Middle East and Africa region for first Servicenow and then Zuora. He was an early member of Servicenow’s management team and its first European employee, helping to scale the company from less than $1m in annual revenues through to $100m, including a flotation on the New York Stock Exchange in 2012.
