Electra Private Equity
Electra has appointed Colette Bowe as chairman after three years on the board.
Bowe, an economist, began her career at the Department of Trade and Industry and then became chief executive of the Personal Investment Authority and chairman of European asset management at Robert Fleming.
She is currently a board member at Morgan Stanley in London and is chairman of regulator Ofcom.
GAM
The fund management group has appointed Paul Udall as an investment director focusing on environmental and sustainable investment opportunities.
Udall was previously portfolio manager of the global environmental opportunities fund at Climate Change Capital. Prior to that, he worked at Tudor Investments in Connecticut and at Morley Fund Management.
World Gold Council
The WGC has hired David Lamb as managing director for its jewellery operations, responsible for developing the gold jewellery market worldwide.
Prior to his appointment, Lamb was an executive director of the Diamond Trading Company, the sales and marketing arm of diamond giant De Beers.
He had previously worked at advertising agencies including JWT Worldwide, where he held the position of executive vice president.
Jefferies
Jeremy Dellis has joined the investment banking group as a managing director and senior telecommunications analyst.
Dellis has over 11 years of experience as an equity research analyst covering European telecoms and joins from JP Morgan, where he was an executive director in the European telecoms research group.
His CV also features stints at UBS, Bear Stearns and Morgan Stanley.
Smith Price
The retail consultancy has promoted Mark Cherry and David O’Keeffe to partner.
Cherry works within the retail agency team, specialising in high street and shopping centre leasing and asset management. He has advised clients such as Axa Real Estate Investment Management, WH Smith, Austin Reed and Threadneedle.
O’Keeffe works in the professional team, providing commercial advice on leases relating to retail premises, particularly large stores, shopping centres, high street developments and the leisure sector.
Mercer
The consultancy group has hired Robert Allen to its global health management team.
Prior to joining the firm, Allen was the regional medical director for Asia strategy with medical assistance, healthcare and security services group International SOS in Singapore.
He has also been medical director at Great West Healthcare, Aetna and Cigna in the US.
