Cheyne Capital Management
The alternative asset manager has appointed Paul Ruddleston and Paul Keohane, pictured, as partners.
The pair joins from Morgan Stanley, where they were managing directors and spent a combined 26 years.
They will be responsible for managing the Cheyne Equity Macro Fund, along with former colleague and head portfolio manager Jorge Giampaoli, who joined Cheyne in June.

The property consultancy has hired Adrian Phillips as a director in its national corporate recovery team, based in London.
Phillips has over 17 years of corporate recovery experience with firms including DTZ and Aitchison Rafferty, and has worked as a consultant for the past seven years.

The structured products financial engineering firm has appointed John Atkinson as managing director of its business outside Asia.
Atkinson, who will be based in London, has spent the past 18 years working in Asia and the Middle East. His roles have included positions as managing director of Reuters’ South East Asia office and chief executive of Asia Converge, a joint venture between the Singapore Stock Exchange, DBS and OCBC banks.

The advertising and internet publishing group has appointed John Ashley Palmer as a non-executive director, effective immediately.
Palmer, 49, recently founded and ran LetsBuyIt.com, an online retail group listed in Germany.
He has also previously held senior marketing and management positions at consumer giant Unilever and Mattel Toys Australia, and was chief executive of Asian communications group Bates Malaysia.

David Grosvenor has joined the software development firm as vice president for the UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa region.
He began his career at GKN Steelstock before moving into finance, with roles as financial controller, commercial and financial director at Stocks Lovell and finance director for a subsidiary of Glynwed.

The oil and gas explorer has appointed Dr Mike Watts as a non-executive director.
Watts, 53, is currently deputy chief executive and new business director at FTSE 100 listed Cairn Energy. He has also previously held senior roles with Shell, Burmah and Premier, in addition to a position as managing director of Holland Sea Search, which was acquired by Cairn in 1995.
