RBC Wealth Management
Jonathan Gold is joining the wealth management firm, part of the Royal Bank of Canada, as a director in its London-based UK onshore business.
Gold was previously a vice president at Alliance Bernstein Global Wealth Management.
He specialises in tax-efficient investment planning, philanthropy, cross-border issues and charities.
BoA Merrill Lynch
The bank has appointed Arnaud Lambillon to its wealth management subsidiary as a financial adviser covering resident non-domiciled UK clients based in Switzerland.
Lambillon has 22 years of experience in banking and joins from UBS Wealth Management, where he was a senior client adviser in Zurich covering UK offshore private clients.
Citi
Alistair McLuskie is joining Citi’s London commodities team as director of physical freight.
McLuskie will be responsible for developing Citi’s chartering capability, supporting growth in the physical coal and iron ore businesses. He joins from Simpson, Spence & Young, where he was a senior freight broker.
Reed Smith
John Varholy, a specialist energy and utility company lawyer, has joined the law firm as a partner.
Varholy was most recently managing partner of US firm Troutman Sanders, where he led the trading, hedging and marketing practice.
