F&C has appointed Philip Martin as Head of Proposition for its UK retail business. He was formerly at Nucleus Financial Group which he co-founded in 2006.
Martin has worked at the Life Association of Scotland, Ivory & Sime and Scottish Life International. He ran his own strategic marketing and product development consultancy, Abacus, before co-founding Nucleus.
Mediterranean Bank
Mediterranean Bank, the Malta-based private bank acquired this July by London based private equity firm AnaCap Financial Partners, has appointed Francis J. Vassallo as its new chairman and Mark Watson as its new chief executive.
Vassallo was previously the governor of the Central Bank of Malta, where he co-founded the Board of Governors of the Malta Financial Services Authority.
Watson spent 22 years with Citigroup/Salomon Brothers, where he became co-head of Global Credit Markets.
Photo-Me International
The Board of Photo-Me, the instant service equipment group, has announced the appointment of Françoise Coutaz-Replan as an executive director and group finance director.
Coutaz-Replan has been with the Photo-Me Group since 1991. From January 2005 to October 2007, she was deputy financial controller of Photo-Me in the UK.
Since November 2007 she has been finance director of Photo-Me France, the French holding company, and KIS, the French sales and servicing company.
Coutaz-Replan succeeds Jean-Luc Peurois, who died in July having been group finance director since 2000.
e2v Technologies
E2v technologies plc, has announced the appointment of Chris Geoghegan as its new non-executive chairman with effect from October 1.
E2v are manufacturers of high-technology electronic components and sub-systems for the aerospace and defence, medical and science, and commercial and industrial sectors.
Geoghegan is a past president of the Society of British Aerospace Companies, having worked in the sector for over 30 years.
He is a former group executive director of BAE Systems, the chairman of Hampson Industries, senior independent director of both Kier Group and Volex and a non-executive director of SIG.
Previously managing director of the Airbus Company and a member of the executive board of Airbus Industrie, he also has substantial experience in the military aerospace sector. Geoghegan was responsible for BAE Systems’ European Defence joint ventures and its Defence Electronics companies.
