Nomura
The Japanese bank has appointed Rachid Bouzouba as co-head of global equities, as part of a wider shake-up of its global management team.
Bouzouba is currently head of equities for EMEA and has been instrumental in building up the bank’s equities business in the region.
He will now manage Nomura’s global equities business alongside current head Naoki Matsuba.
BoA Merrill Lynch
The bank has hired Carole Berndt as regional treasury executive for the EMEA region, based in London.
Berndt joins from Citibank, where she worked for nine years, most recently as global head of client delivery in Hong Kong and New York.
Legg Mason
The asset manager has appointed Mark Palmer as director of business development for the UK.
Palmer joins from Fidelity International, where he was sales director responsible for developing relationships with major UK life and platform businesses. The appointment comes after Legg Mason in January hired two directors of business development for Europe – James Cahill and Peter Andersson.
Tokio Marine
The Japanese and Asian equities specialist has hired David O’Keeffe as vice president of business development.
O’Keeffe was previously business development director at FundQuest, the specialist global multi-management arm of BNP Paribas Investment Partners.
