Rothschild
Rothschild has appointed Mark Kary (pictured) and Helen Watson as managing directors in its private banking & trust division.
Kary joins from Polar Capital Holdings where he was chief executive officer and prior to that he spent 19 years at Morgan Stanley.
Watson also joins Rothschild from Morgan Stanley where she worked in the wealth management division.
Kary joins immediately and Watson in May.
PricewaterhouseCooper
PricewaterhouseCooper (PwC) has promoted Mohammad Khan as its new head of Islamic finance in the UK. He takes over from Mohammed Amin who has retired as partner from the firm. Khan’s appointment takes immediate effect and he will be responsible for collaborating with PwC’s Islamic finance team across the globe.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch
The wealth management arm of Bank of America Merrill Lynch has appointed Bill O’Neill as chief investment officer for the EMEA region.
O’Neill will be based in the bank’s London office and will report to Merrill Lynch EMEA wealth management boss David Jervis and Michael O’Keeffe, chief investment officer, Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management.
O’Neill has 28 years experience as an economist and strategist, and joined Merrill Lynch in October 2007 as a consultant.
Panmure Gordon
Investment bank and stock broker Panmure Gordon has bolstered its corporate finance team after hiring Paul Lumbis as the firm’s new managing director.
Lumbis joins from Atlas Partners, an independent corporate advisory firm that he founded.
At Panmure, he will focus on the insurance and investment banking sectors and will directly report to investment banking head Richard Gray.
Prior to launching Atlas, Lumbis advised on M&A and capital raisings with GC Securities, Ernst & Young and Aviva.
