CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
Credit Suisse
The bank has appointed François Roussely as a vice chairman in Europe and Pierre Fleuriot as a chief executive of Credit Suisse in France.
Roussely joined the firm in 2005, having previously served as chairman and chief executive of Electricité de France between 1998 and 2004. Fleuriot has over 20 years of experience in banking and French government service, most recently with the ABN Amro group as chief executive of ABN France.
Union Bancaire Privée
The private bank has hired Richard Wohanka, the former chief executive of Fortis Investment Management, as the chief executive of its new asset management and alternative investments division.
Wohanka, who also becomes a member of the bank’s executive committee, was at Fortis between 2001 and 2009, and also previously spent four years as chief executive of WestLB Asset Management and 13 years at Paribas, three of which were as chief executive of asset management.
Hewitt Associates
The HR consultancy has promoted Andrew Tunningley to global strategy leader for investment and John Rushen as head of the UK investment consulting practice.
Tunningley has led the UK investment team at Hewitt since 2003, having previously been an England rugby international, spending the 1996/7 season on a part-time basis as a professional rugby player and investment consultant.
Rushen has been recruited from Ermitage, one of Europe’s leading alternative asset management organisations, having previously worked at Mercer Investment Consulting and BlackRock.
3i Infotech
The technology and services provider has appointed Som Sarma as global head of It services, based in London.
Sarma joins from Satyam, where he was a senior vice president and head of the group’s UK and Ireland operations.
‘ReThink Group
The recruitment group has appointed Andy Lord as managing director of its recruitment brands.
Lord is one of the co-founders and executive directors of ReThink, and was previously the director in charge of the Northern operations of the group.
Polycom
The video and voice communications group has appointed Aaron Payne as area sales vice president for the UK and Ireland.
Payne will be responsible for the strategic direction of Polycom’s direct and channel sales teams, having previously worked as director of global sales at Obsidian Wireless. He has also held senior management positions at Touch Telecom, Avaya and Siemens.
