HSBC Private Bank
Bassem Snaije has been appointed as head of the London-based Middle East and North Africa (MENA) team at the private bank.
Snaije joins from Cosmos Advisors and Pegase Partners Group in Paris, where he was a partner advising on private equity, real estate and M&A deals in the Middle East.
He also previously held a role as head of capital markets and investment management for the Middle East at Lehman Brothers.
Dalton Strategic Partnership
The investment management firm has appointed Nick Mottram as a partner and portfolio manager in the global equity team.
Mottram, who is due to join on 1 March, joins from Origin Asset Management, the business he set up in 2004 with four other founding partners. Prior to that, he was a director and head of equities at Investec Asset Management in London and a director and global head of research at Schroders.
Legal & General Property
The property fund management group has appointed Mark Russell as fund manager for its £750m L&G Managed Pension Fund.
Russell joins from Prestbury Investment Holdings, where he was responsible for several property portfolios. He is now rejoining Legal & General Property after working on its Linked Life Fund between 2000 and 2006.
Gide Loyrette Nouel
The international law firm has reshuffled its management committee after an election by the partners.
Pierre Raoul-Duval, an international contract law expert, has been re-elected senior partner. M&A specialist Christophe Eck takes over as managing partner, having been at the firm since 1988.
Other members of the committee are Gilles Duquet, a partner in the dispute resolution team; Antoine Choffel, a French and EU competition law specialist; and Stéphane Puel, a partner in the banking and finance department.
Hogarth
The financial PR consultancy has appointed former Smithfield directors Reg Hoare and Katie Hunt as a managing director and director respectively.
Hoare previously spent 12 years in equity sales with the likes of W Greenwell, SG Warburg and Nomura, before moving into PR. He is also a director of the Investor Relations Society.
Allocate Software
Chris Gale, the former finance director at global software firm GFI, has joined the Aim-listed group as chief financial officer.
Gale, who was also acting chief executive for a while at GFI, has also previously held senior financial roles in Europe and North America at the likes of information technology giant Apple, Clearswift and Cooper and Chyan Technology.
