Halifax Share Dealing
The execution-only broker has confirmed Damian Stansfield as its new managing director. Stansfield moves from Lloyds Banking Group, where he held the position of risk director for direct channels and group marketing. In his new role, Stansfield will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Halifax Share Dealing and strategic development of the business, focusing on regulation, technological innovation and changes in customer preference.
Rosenblatt Solicitors
Rosenblatt Solicitors has appointed Cathy Ley as a partner to lead the law firm’s projects, construction and infrastructure team. Most recently, Ley worked as head of the public, private partnership law team at the London Development Agency.
Old Broad Street Research
The research firm has appointed Phil Lindsay as business development director for UK intermediary and institutional solutions. Lindsay will provide research and software capabilities, as well as consulting solutions.
Torus
The global insurer has appointed José Ramón González as general counsel. González, who was most recently deputy general counsel of Torus’ US operations, will be responsible for Torus’ legal, regulatory and compliance services worldwide.
Barclays Wealth
Barclays Wealth has appointed Theophanis Theophanous as managing director and ultra high net worth banker. He joins Barclays from Deloitte where he has worked since 2001, most recently as a partner and head of private client services in the Cyprus office.
City Asset Management
The investment firm has appointed Chris Gillam as intermediary sales manager. Gillam joins from Ashcourt Rowan Asset Management, where he was an intermediary relationship manager for Essex and East Anglia.
BLP
Law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner has appointed Keith Wilson as a partner in the asset finance team. Wilson, who was previously head of finance at Paul Hastings in London, has spent more than 20 years working as a finance lawyer in London and Hong Kong.
Menzies
The accountant and adviser to privately owned businesses has appointed Jayne Simpson as VAT manager. Simpson joins from the same role at PwC.
