GlaxoSmithKline
Judy Lewent and Stacey Cartwright have been appointed as non-executive directors of GSK and will join the Board from 1 April 2011, when they will both become members of the firm’s Audit & Risk Committee. Lewent is the former executive vice president and chief financial officer of Merck & Co, and Cartwright is executive vice president, chief financial officer of Burberry Group.
MF Global
The broker/dealer providing trading and hedging solutions has appointed Richard Moore as regional chief executive and managing director of Europe. Moore will join MF Global on 1 April and will be responsible for developing the firm’s pan-European growth strategy.
Mercer
Emma Douglas has joined Mercer as UK leader for Mercer Workplace Savings. Douglas joins from BlackRock and has also worked at Threadneedle Asset Management, JP Morgan Investment Management, Morgan Grenfell Asset Management and Fidelity Investments.
Graydon UK
The commercial credit reference agency has appointed Keith Jones as managing director. Jones, who joins Graydon on 3 May, arrives from Royal Mail, where he was head of data. He has also held senior roles at data firms Abacus and Qbase.
Paul Hastings
The international law firm Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker has appointed Suzanne Horne as employment partner at the London office to strengthen the firm’s European Employment practice. Horne joins from Morrison & Foerster and specialises in all areas of employment law, including business transfers, outsourcings, insolvencies and mergers and acquisitions.
MSCI
The investment decision support tools provider has appointed Kurt Winklemann as managing director and head of risk and analytical research. Winklemann will be based in New York, where he will manage a global team of 60 researchers.
