BANK OF AMERICA MERRILL LYNCH
Matthew Koder will join Bank of America Merrill Lynch as head of global corporate and investment banking for Asia Pacific in the summer. Koder will report to Brian Brille, president of Asia Pacific, and will be a member of the Global Corporate and Investment Banking Operating Committee. Koder has 20 years’ experience working in investment banking and capital markets. Most recently, he worked at UBS as head of Global Capital Markets. Prior to joining UBS, Koder spent almost 10 years at Goldman Sachs.
BERRY ASSET MANAGEMENT
The specialist private client wealth management firm has appointed Malcolm Cuthbert as director of wealth management, where he will work alongside the newly appointed Richard Fellows. Cuthbert will start in April.

The City law firm has appointed Malcolm MacDougall as a partner to head its private equity practice. MacDougall, who joins from DLA Piper, undertook two of the largest private equity deals in the UK in 2010: Sophos/Apax Partners and CVC Capital Partners/Autobar Group.

Sarah Arkle and Nicholas Moakes have been appointed to the Board of the Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust as non-executive directors. Arkle is vice chairman of Threadneedle Asset Management and Nicholas Moakes is head of public markets at the Wellcome Trust. Until 2007, Moakes was head of the Asia Pacific investment team at BlackRock Investment Management.
ARK THERAPEUTICS GROUP
Russell Banks has been appointed to the role of chief financial officer at Ark Therapeutics Group. He succeeds David Bowyer, who has returned to his native Zimbabwe to take on a senior operational role in a Zimbabwean company.
MONTELLO INCOME FUND
Andrew Wood has been appointed head of fund distribution for Montello Income Fund and its new alternative fund distribution business Montello Distribution. Wood previously worked for large wealth and fund managers in London and Zurich.
MAYFAIR CAPITAL
The commercial property fund manager has hired Sarah Bate as director of research and James Feilden as assistant asset manager. Bate joins from Rockspring PIM and Feilden joins from GVA, where he was a senior surveyor.
