PensionsFirst
The pensions risk management firm has hired three new assistant vice presidents: Matthew Furniss (pictured) and Robert Heathcoat, who both join from Punter Southall, and Chris Hoddman, who joins from the Pension Protection Fund. Furniss will work in the client solutions group, helping clients to manage their pension risk. Hoffman and Heathcoat will be working in the firm’s professional services team.
Aviva
Martin Muir has joined the insurer as an asset and liability management director, starting 11 April.
The newly created role will give Muir responsibility for the asset allocation of Aviva’s investment portfolio. He will be based at the firm’s London HQ and will report to Tim Harris, the group’s deputy chief financial officer.
Muir joins the firm from Goldman Sachs, where he is a managing director in the securities division. Previously, he worked for twenty years at Watson Wyatt, where he was a partner and leader of the UK life practice.
Deloitte
Graeme Matthews has joined the company as an associate partner in its security team, helping to improve its cyber security advisory.
The cyber security team resides in the Deloitte enterprise risk service practice, which has more than 900 people.
Matthews has previously spent four years as a lead client partner at Detica, focused on national and government security. Before that, he worked at Capgemini specialising in change management and organisation design in the TMT market.
Haymarket Financial
Howard Rowe, Glenn Clarke and Carlos Baigorri have joined the firm. Rowe was formerly a managing director at Goldman Sachs and has joined Haymarket’s healthcare financial business.
Clarke has joined from Chapdelaine in the US to drive the firm’s capital markets efforts. He previously worked at CSFB’s CLO franchise. Baigorri joins as an investment analyst from Goldman Sachs.
TeachFirst
The education charity has hired John Colenutt as chief operating officer. He has left JP Morgan Cazenove after 22 years for the role.
