CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
SVG Investment Managers
Adam Steiner has been promoted to chief executive of the investment management firm from his previous position as head of research.
Steiner replaces Tony Dalwood, who formerly co-founded the firm’s public equities team with him in 2002 and has now been appointed as chief executive of SVG Advisers and chairman of the SVG Investment Managers board.
The pair also continue in their roles as members of the firm’s investment committee.
Credit Suisse
The bank has appointed Michael Ingelog as chief executive of its Nordic business, effective from January 2010 and initially based in London, relocating to the Nordic region over time.
Ingelog joins from Deutsche Bank, where he was a managing director and head of the institutional client group for the Nordic region and the Netherlands.
Prior to that, he spent six years as an executive director and head of derivative sales at UBS.
Clifford Chance
The law firm has elected David Bickerton as its regional managing partner in the UK and the Middle East, taking over from Jeremy Sandelson, who has recently been voted global head of the firm’s litigation practice.
Bickerton originally joined the firm in 1987, became a partner in 1997 and currently heads up the London capital markets practice.
APL
The Association of Pension Lawyers has appointed Pauline Sibbit, a partner at Sacker and Partners, as its chairman for a two-year period.
Sibbit, who became a partner at Sackers in 1990, previously spent several years serving on the main APL committee and the parliamentary and legislative sub-committee.
Maxxim Consulting
The management consultancy firm has hired Peter Hubbard as a non-executive director.
Hubbard, a keen cyclist, gardener and wine connoisseur, most recently worked as chief executive of Axa Insurance. Prior to that, he spent four years at Ernst and Young and 17 years at Lloyds TSB, where he served as finance director, managing director of e-commerce and strategy director of retail banking.
He also currently holds a non-executive directorship at Keoghs, the law firm specialising in the UK insurance industry.
Sophis
The provider of cross-asset, front-to-back portfolio and risk management solutions, has appointed René Flor as its new area sales director for Switzerland and Luxembourg.
Flor joins from Odyssey Financial Technologies, where he was in charge of new business for Southern Europe.
He was also previously director of international sales for software solutions company Aquin Components and managing director of Global WebTrade.
