Macquarie Capital Advisors
The corporate advisory group has appointed Marc Middleton, left, as vice chairman of its European advisory business and Ian Brimecome as executive chairman of its European financial institutions group (FIG).
Middleton formerly spent 24 years at NM Rothschild, including eight as global head of the telecoms group. Brimecome became a senior adviser to Macquarie Capital on its acquisition of Fox-Pitt Kelton.
Barclays Wealth
The wealth management firm has appointed Stefanie Drews as a managing director and head of ultra high net worth (UHNW) for the UK and EMEA region.
Drews joins from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, where she has spent the past 13 years, most recently as a managing director in the EMEA region.
In her new role, she will be tasked with building out the UHNW team, which works across Barclays’ corporate, investment banking and wealth management businesses.
Hawkpoint
Frank Jung has been hired as a managing director at the boutique advisory firm to lead its German restructuring and debt advisory practice.
Jung will be based in Hawkpoint’s new Frankfurt office, which was opened just last month. He joins from Jefferies, where he headed its Anglo German financial restructuring practice, and has also worked in the Anglo German distressed debt investment team at Goldman Sachs.
Partners Capital
The private investment office has promoted Arjun Raghavan to be its seventh partner.
Raghavan joined the firm in 2007 as a principal and has been co-manager of its master portfolio. He also sits on the international investment committee.
Prior to joining the firm, he was a senior fund analyst and director at equities hedge fund Quantiva Capital and a senior manager at Accenture specialising in corporate strategy.
DTZ
The real estate adviser has appointed Fergus Hicks as an associate director in its global forecasting and strategy research team.
Hicks was previously at Capital Economics, where he was a property economist specialising in European commercial property markets. He has also held the position of head of forecasting and economics for the EMEA region at Jones Lang LaSalle.
