CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
SVG Capital
The private equity firm has appointed Lynn Fordham as its new chief executive officer and Tony Dalwood as chief executive of SVG Advisers, its advisory arm.
Fordham joined the SVG Capital board as finance director in July last year, having previously held positions with Barratt Developments, BAA, Boots, Man Group and Chubb. Dalwood joined SVG Advisors in 2002 as head of public equities.
Ortec Finance
The risk and return consultancy has hired Andrew Slater as managing director and Jitske van Londen as a senior consultant.Slater joins from SEI Investments, where he spent six years as director of institutional strategy in the global institutional solutions group. Prior to that he worked for Price Waterhouse, where he qualified as an actuary in 1997.
Van Londen joins the team on secondment from Ortec Finance’s Rotterdam office, having worked at the group since 2000.
Eden Financial
The broker and asset manager has expanded its multi-asset class investment team with the appointment of Thomas Leah as a global fixed income analyst.
Leah joins from Citi Alternative Investments, where he spent four years working as a credit analyst and portfolio manager. He also has experience working as a risk analyst for Morgan Stanley.
Conduit Capital Markets
Mark Watson has joined the board of the derivatives and securities dealing firm as a non-executive director.
Watson started his career with Salomon Brothers in 1985, after graduating from the Cass Business School. In 2004, after a spell working in Tokyo, he was appointed head of European fixed income at Citigroup, before leaving the bank last year.
AlixPartners
The business advisory firm has hired Liam Colley as a managing director to lead its economics consulting practice in Europe. Colley previously worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, directing the competition economics practice.
Steve Ambort, a managing director and senior member of the information management services team, has also joined the firm’s London office, having moved over from Chicago.
Colemont Insurance Brokers
Steve Brodie is to join the Lloyd’s of London brokerage as a director in the niche specialties division.
Brodie has worked in the London insurance market since 1980, specialising in affinity products, personal accident, property, liability and fine art, among other things. Prior to his new role, he worked for AON, TL Dallas and CBC.
