Markel International
The specialty property and casualty insurer has appointed Hugh Maltby to the new role of operations director, responsible for IT, underwriting support, procurement and premises.
Maltby, who will be based in London, has over 20 years of experience in the industry, including 12 years at Brit Insurance.
Prior to that, he worked as an underwriter in syndicate management positions at Ockham Worldwide and Sturge Non-Marine.
Armajaro Asset Management
The asset management firm has hired Roxanne Sargent as co-head of sales and marketing.
Sargent will focus on the marketing of the group’s range of hedge fund strategies and business development initiatives, reporting directly to chief executive Richard Gower.
Sargent joins from alternative asset manager Lincoln Vale, where she was a managing director and global head of sales and marketing. Prior to that, she was head of the hedge fund capital group at Deutsche Bank.
HDFC Securities
The subsidiary of private sector lender HDFC Bank has appointed Vinod Sharma as head of private broking and wealth management.
Sharma will be responsible for acquiring and holding private broking relationships and advising customers on wealth allocation and management.
He joins HDFC Securities from Anagram Capital, where he was a director and head of research.
