Royal London Asset Management
The asset management firm has promoted Ian Goulsbra to the role of head of wholesale relationships, effective immediately
Goulsbra joined RLAM in 2007 as a business development manager for the south of England.
He was previously at Premier Asset Management, where he was head of institutional sales, and also spent time working as a London-based sales director at Isis Asset Management.
BGC Partners
Gary McNamara has joined the inter-dealer broking firm as a consultant on the property derivatives desk.
McNamara has worked in the indirect property investment market for the past five years, specialising in property derivatives and unlisted property funds. His new role will be to help implement property derivative trading strategies for the fund managers.
Jones Day
The law firm has expanded its London banking and finance practice with the appointment of new associate Satarupa Chakravortty.
Chakravortty joins from rival Ashurst, where she was an associate in the banking and finance practice, specialising in the area of structured finance drafting. She also advised and structured credit linked notes and hybrid financial products for JP Morgan, Citibank and Goldman Sachs.
Fairlight Partners
Chris Bonnefoy, Paul Mandeville and Sam Hoexter have set up Fairlight Partners, focused on advising small to medium-sized energy projects across the EMEA region.
Bonnefoy and Mandeville previously worked for Mizuho Corporate Bank and Hoexter at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, all in energy project finance origination.
CLS Group
The multi-currency cash settlement systems group has appointed Carol Simon as executive vice president for risk management and Cynthia Tazioli as head of sales and relationship management.
Simon previously had her own consultancy on risk management and was a managing director and global head of hedge fund credit at Deutsche Bank in New York.
Tazioli was head of North America sales at BT Radianz, a supplier of communication and hosting services for the financial services industry.
M: Communications
Tom Blackwell is joining City public relations firm M: Communications as managing director for Russia, based in Moscow. Blackwell joins M from The PBN Company, where he worked for more than seven years, including for the last four years as managing director of PBN’s Moscow office. Among other responsibilities, Blackwell led the development of the firm’s financial communications business in Russia. M is part of the King Worldwide group, which already has a footprint in the CIS.
