Aviva
The insurance giant has appointed Gary Price as marketing director of its UK business.
Price will be responsible for customer insight, strategy, brand, sponsorship, communications and corporate responsibility across the UK’s life and general insurance businesses.
He was most recently responsible for the reattribution of the inherited estate at Aviva, having joined the business in 2005 from online banking group Egg.
KBC Peel Hunt
The corporate broking and advisory firm has appointed Andrew Chapman as managing director and head of corporate broking and equity capital markets, effective from next year.
One of the City’s leading corporate brokers, Andrew was at ABN Hoare Govett between 1992 and 2005, where he was a managing director in the UK corporate broking business and was a member of the firm’s management committee. He then left to join Citi’s corporate broking franchise.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch
The banking group has promoted David Jervis to the position of head of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management for the Europe, the Middle East and Africa region.
Jervis joined the firm 16 years ago and is currently head of BoA Merrill Lynch’s senior relationship management group for global banking and markets in the EMEA region, working with top money manager and hedge fund clients across the region.
Putnam Investments
The investment management company has appointed Scott Sipple as head of strategic relationships, where he will facilitate relationships with the asset management research platforms of major wealth management firms.
Sipple joins the firm from Fidelity Investments.
HarbourVest Partners
The global private equity firm has made a number of promotions to its team.
Peter Lipson, Julie Ocko and Mary Traer have been appointed as managing directors, with Traer – who originally joined the firm in 1997 as director of taxation – also named chief administrative officer.
Karin Lagerlund, who joined in 2000, becomes chief financial officer; Sebastiaan van den Berg has been promoted to the position of principal, and Bruce Pixler, Catherine Shih and Abraham Soquar have been named as vice presidents.
Bank of New York Mellon
The banking group’s wealth management division has hired Louis-Albert Jolivert as a sales director and Sean Maguire as a senior portfolio manager.
Jolivert formerly worked at JP Morgan Private Bank, while Maguire joins from wealth management firm Lydian Bank & Trust.
